Band Profile - alter der ruine

Alter Der Ruine was created in 2005 in Tucson, Arizona by Mike Jenney .
The band began as a noise project aimed at creating harsh rhythms and
beats geared towards the dance floor. Their debut album “The Ruine
Process” was self released and gained a lot of attention and support
from many facets of the industrial music scene.
The band tackled live shows head on playing a wide variety of
electronic instruments which lead to the inclusion of other members. At
current time the lineup consists of Mike Jenney, Mike Treveloni, Xiån
Austin and Jacob Rouse. Alter Der Ruine has become known for their
intense live shows consisting of multiple percussionists and use of
video to enhance their performance. They’ve also proven not to be a shy
group on stage, often thrashing around and causing a commotion both on
stage and in the crowd.
Constant touring and remixing gained the attention of not only
fans but also labels and in 2006. Alter Der Ruine signed to Los Angeles
based record label Sistinas Music to release their sophomore album
“State of Ruin”. In addition to playing with many notable acts like
Assemblage 23, God Module, Imperative Reaction, Snog, Psyclon Nine and
45 Grave, they have also remixed bands like Caustic, Helltrash,
W.A.S.T.E. and To Mega Therion to help round out their sound and
audience. Their work can be found on numerous albums and compilations
like: Das Bunker's Fear of a Distorted Planet, CrunchPod's Songs in the
Key of Death, Inure's Subversive (Special Edition), Autoclav 1.1’s
Broken Beats for Broken Hearts and Enzeit Bunker Tracks Act III
released by Alpha Matrix.
With ever changing inspiration and an ear for creating heavy
and accessible songs, the band continues to develop and evolve earning
the support of many new and old listeners.
